Product Description

The Herringbone Regency Oak flooring combines the classic look of natural oak with the practical benefits of laminate flooring. The herringbone pattern, 4-sided V-grooves and embossed surface bring out the natural grain and variation in the design, giving the floor the look of real wood.

The warm oak tones work particularly well in living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, while the herringbone layout adds more character to the room. It's also suitable for underfloor heating, so you can use it as part of a wider home renovation.

With an AC4 rating, Regency Oak is suitable for everyday use in the home as well as areas with moderate commercial traffic. The 8mm boards are designed to cope with busy households, while the surface is easy to clean and resistant to everyday scratches and stains.

The flooring is also moisture resistant when used with the right joint protector, making it suitable for a range of rooms where occasional spills are likely. It comes with a 25-year residential warranty for added peace of mind.

Reviews

New flooring "So happy with my new flooring. Great service from start to finish. Liam came out, checked sizes etc and gave me a sooner date than I expected to do the job. Flooring was fitted by Brian in a couple of hours. Would definitely recommend both Liam and Brian, both just get on and get the job done to a high standard. Thank you. M. Murphy" — Marie M. (5/5) Beautiful flooring. Looks amazing in "Beautiful flooring. Looks amazing in my newly renovated living room. Would highly recommend. This is the second time I've used this brand of herringbone from Direct Wood Flooring and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Superb and helpful service from DWF too." — helen c. (5/5) Love the new flooring "Love the new flooring" — gerald t. (5/5) Really happy with our flooring,we "Really happy with our flooring,we had a small issue which was sorted efficiently by the fitter, overall great service and good experience, one small gripe was we were approximately 1 metre of beading short so had to order another and was twice as much money for shipping than the trim but it was a small issue and the fitter came back to sort it. Many thanks. ." — Lee S. (5/5) Looks good and goes down well "I have never layed herringbone before and it requires more thought and planning than straight planks, but the laying process is quite easy and it looks great, although the finish is a little more milky than the pictures. I found some pack contained a lot of the same pattern, so I would recommend opening several pack beforhand and mixing them up to give better randomness." — Kevin T. (4/5) Great quality flooring and love "Great quality flooring and love the colour. Here it is in our new kitchen - very pleased with it." — Thomas P. (5/5) Fantastic, highly reccomend "Visited the showroom and ordered out herringbone laminate in oak. Was impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the staff and the ease of ordering. It was delivered last week and although we haven’t had it fitted just yet (ongoing building work) the product seems fantastic and I am really happy all round!" — Rebecca S. (5/5) Quality product "Quality product, beautiful warm colouring to the floor. Easy to lay once you get the hang of the A and B pattern. Follow the instructions (and watch some YouTube tutorials) and it’s a simple process. Not a single issue with any of the planks in all 15 packs we purchased." — Hannah H. (5/5) Highly recommend this beautiful affordable flooring "I was really impressed with the quality of the planks for price. The colour and different grains make it look very natural. Be aware I did end up with quite a bit of wastage especially with not having a straight wall in the room and you do have to glue the edges of each plank so takes a bit longer to install than laminate click planks but well worth it," — Joe M. (5/5) Perfectly stunning. We had the "Perfectly stunning. We had the flooring fitted by yesterday, it is everything and more than what the images are shown on the website. A true statement to the living room" — Vanessa P. (5/5)

Q&A

Is this waterproof?
Hello, thank you for getting in touch! This product is water resistant but not waterproof you can seal the joints with https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/impero-joint-protector.html to increase the water tightness of the flooring. However, we would still not recommend this for a bathroom. If you need fully waterproof flooring, I would recommend looking at our EvoCore Range, this would be the closest match to the Herringbone - Regency Oak - https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/evocore-premium-herringbone-natural-english-oak.html. I hope this helps, and if you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind Regards, Shauna
Hi Wanting to lay this over electric UFH Planning to lay cement backer board over the existing chipboard floor to eliminate any movement & unevenness in the floor, then the UFH My question is : would you recommend laying a latex screed over the UFH or are they suitable to lay directly over the UFH decoupling material?
Hello, thank you for getting in touch! I can confirm the Laminate would need installing as a floating floor with the use of the EvoCore 360 Underlay: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/evocore-360-underlay.html. As this is going to be wood to wood, then an additional DPM or Latex barrier is not needed. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch! Kind Regards, Katie.
Hi what electric underfloor heating would you recommend with this type of flooring. Thanks
Hello, thank you for getting in touch! Apologies as we would be unsure which electric under-floor heating system to use as we do not supply them and do not know enough about them to recommend. The best suggestion would be to speak with an under-floor heating supplier. The Herringbone - Regency Oak can be used with underfloor heating as long as the temperature does not exceed 27 degrees. We would recommend the following Underlay to be used: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/evocore-360-underlay.html I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch! Kind Regards, Alex
Can this floor be steam cleaned?
Hello, thank you for getting in touch! We would not recommend using a steam mop on any of our floorings as the steam can damage the planks. Instead, we would recommend using a flat-headed mop; here is a great option: https://www.flooringsuperstore.com/impero-all-in-one-floor-cleaning-kit.html. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch. Kind Regards, Katie.
Do I need to put expansion joints in as I’m planning on putting this throughout my ground floor.
Hello, thank you for getting in touch! I can confirm you would need to leave a 10 - 15mm expansion gap around the perimeter of the room, plus a break in the flooring at around 9m. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch. Kind Regards, Katie.
