20mm Board Thickness

Hi Am laying my farmhouse oak on top of floorboards..what’s thickness plywood should I lay 1st and will it be better stuck or nailed? Thanks: Hello, thank you for getting in touch! If you are using plywood to level out your floorboards, then 3/4 of an inch should be sufficient. If you are using this over joists, then the minimum thickness of plywood for subflooring is usually around 5 - 8 inches. The Farmhouse Golden Smoked Oak can be installed as a floating floor by gluing the T&G system. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can either glue or nail to the subfloor. Hi, can this flooring be laid on our original parquet wood flooring or would you suggest a membrane on top of the parquet?: Hello, thank you for getting in touch! We recommend removing any existing flooring and then fitting your new Engineered Wood. This will stop any imperfections within the subfloor from causing damage to your new flooring over time. I have recently purchased and received 40m2 of farmouse golden smoked oak. Please advise if it needs to be acclimatised in the room it will be laid in before being fitted? If yes, how should this be done?: Hello, thank you for getting in touch! We would recommend acclimatising the flooring for at least 72 hours before installation at room temperature. The flooring can be kept in the packs and stacked, we would advise opening the packs allowing the flooring to get used to the house temperature. I hope this helps!
