Timberlay Heatflow is specifically designed for underfloor heating installations under wood and laminate flooring. The underlay allows the heating system to perform more efficiently through small holes that improves the rate in which heat is transferred to the surface of the floor, allowing a warmer underfoot feel and even a reduction in your energy bills! The underlay features superb sound reduction whilst also providing firmness underfoot making your floor extremely comfortable to walk on.

- Hi, With a wet heating system does this need a damp proof between the concrete and the underlay. If so what would you recommend with the timberlay heat flow underlay?

- Hi I'm looking at putting elegant oak herringbone with electric underfloor heating with heat flow mat in between but what 6mm insulation boards would you recommend for heat loss in concrete floor as I was told that the foam xps boards would be to soft for herringbone laminate flooring. - Hello, thank you for getting in touch! We recommend fitting the Timberlay Heatflow directly onto your subfloor, with the Herringbone Laminate flooring laid directly on top of this Underlay. As we do not supply any insulation boards, we can not advise on competitor products, but you should only fit the flooring onto a solid surface such as concrete or plyboard. - Can insulation boards be used below the electric cable with Timberlay Heatflow on top of the electric cable, but with Timberlay Heatflow below the laminate, more the heat loss through an uninsulated chip board base? Appreciate the Timberlay Heatflow will radiate heat upwards but I would have thought heat will also be radiated through non insulated chip board base as well / loose heat?
- Hi, thank you for getting in touch. Yes, assuming that this is the electric mat system, you can install Timberlay Heatflow directly over your UFH. This will create a barrier between the underfloor heating system and your chosen laminate filtering the heat correctly.
