- What would be the closest Osmo oil stain colour to Georgian Oak, as I need to stain some 2 meter length stair nosing
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! I would recommend looking at the Amber Osmo Oil: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/osmo-polyx-oil-tints-3072-amber.html. This looks to be the closest colour match to this flooring. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch! Kind Regards, Katie.
- Do you need to use glue for this? Or does it float? If you do need glue, is this to each plank, to the floor or both? Many thanks
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! As this is a Solid Wood, this can only be installed by either gluing to the sub-floor or nailing to the floorboards using the "Secret Nail" Method. Therefore, no underlay would be required as this cannot be fitted as a floating floor. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch! Kind Regards, Katie.
- What is the best wooden flooring to lay on concrete?
- Hello, thank you for getting in touch! If you are installing wooden floor to concrete, we would recommend carrying out a "screed" treatment, which can be done by using our Primer: https://www.directwoodflooring.co.uk/impero-sub-floor-primer-6-kg.html. This will damp-proof the concrete protecting the flooring from any moisture that may be absorbed from the concrete itself. I hope this helps! If there is anything else we can assist with, please do not hesitate to get back in touch! Kind Regards, Katie.
